I've missed writing about the art I watch, read, and listen to. (Art is used loosely here to describe what I think of as "story carrying material". Songs tell stories. Movies tell stories. TV shows tell stories. Pictures tell stories. Sculptures tell stories, and of course, books tell stories, and stories are art.) For a while, I reviewed music over at Consequence of Sound but even that was years ago. I minored in Film Studies and wrote extensively about film for my classes. I later blogged about it after graduating. I majored in English, reading a shelf or two of great literature. And then I stopped reading fiction after college which breaks my heart. To right a few wrongs and to move my thoughts from the mind to the page, I'm logging my art habits here. I plan on doing little self-editing, preferring to keep things raw, clichés included. After all, this is a journal. Much of what I write will be reviews or at least my response to a movie or album or concert; however, from time to time I'll throw in something that's not focused on one particular piece of art but is more of a general observation.
